Laser Table Sheet Lifter

A recent plate lifter designed and manufactured here at IMI using our FXE Series of lifting magnets. This lifter, for a large defense contractor, utilizes permanent magnets that are actuated and de-actuated using electricity. It can lift a wide variety of plate sizes from 4’ x 8’ x 4” up to 10’ x 40’ x 1” and is ‘zoned’ to handle the different sized plates.

This plate lifter can clear the skeleton and all the large cut-outs in a single pass from the laser table. Magnet controls were integrated into the radio-controlled hoist controller (belly box).
